BEING A MENTEE

The 2024 Financial Mentoring Programme is a valuable opportunity for personal development and empowerment for Enrich participants who have already completed, at least, the Money Wise Migrants (MWM) workshop. This programme is designed to support participants by:

  • Identifying medium and long-term savings goals,
  • Managing spending and savings effectively, and
  • Managing debts and, ideally, avoiding them to maintain financial stability.

The partnership between Mentor and Mentee is a helpful relationship based on mutual trust and respect. It provides an opportunity for Mentees to be asked questions, challenged, while receiving guidance and encouragement. This is a chance for Mentees to:

  • Think about options,
  • Receive constructive feedback,
  • Develop solutions to issues,
  • Gain motivation to continue progress, and
  • Obtain a fresh perspective.

MENTEE COMMITMENT

Mentees will be paired with a Mentor and meet regularly over 12 weeks to strengthen their knowledge of financial management. As a Mentee, your role is to seek support and guidance from your Mentor on areas such as saving, budgeting, and investing in your future goals.

The data collected from this form will be used by Enrich for statistical analysis, reporting, communication, and impact studies. We value your confidentiality, and please be assured that Enrich will always treat your data confidentially, unless you explicitly consent to the use of your name or other personal details.

We suggest that mentoring pairs meet in person once a month and stay in touch through WhatsApp or email at least once every two weeks. The programme's key dates are listed below (please note that some dates may be subject to change):

  • 01-Jan: Applications open
  • 01-Mar: Applications close
